A girls indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors.

A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who just want to score some goals.

Production Studies III is the capstone course in the Theatre major, and the final installment of the Production Studies program at the University of Richmond. Students who have reached this level in the department embark on a yearlong task of producing a play. It showcases the skills they have acquired in the 3 years prior.

This production is entirely student-led from start to finish with the guidance of faculty mentors. We began this process by reading 8 plays, debating the strengths and weaknesses of each play, choosing one, then pitching desired roles.

The play we chose is The Wolves, written by Sarah DeLappe. Each of us then received our roles on the production team, decided by our faculty mentors. The rest of the fall semester involved research and analysis, gaining sponsors, and assembling the cast to bring the play to life.  

We are extremely excited to present this production in February 2020.
